Military-Style Chest Handle

Inset in a 7/16" mortise to sit flush with the mounting surface, this forged brass handle is designed after those used on Campaign-style chests. It has scalloped corners and a hinged grip that lies unobtrusively within the finger recess when not in use, pivoting out to project about 1" from the backing plate when used for lifting.
