Zipbolt Angled Railbolt

Used to connect a handrail at an acute angle to a newel post, this all-steel connector installs directly into the rail with a small portion left protruding. The keyhole disc installs into the newel post and easily attaches to the protruding connector. To tighten or loosen the connector, simply adjust the geared mechanism using a hex bit.

At one end of the bolt, an anchor seats in a 25mm (1") diameter by a minimum 20mm (around 3/4") recess. The keyhole disc seats in a 25mm (1") diameter recess on the post.

When tightening or loosening the connector, it should be done by hand or with a drill on low torque setting. Do not use an impact driver.
