This hardware provides all the metal parts needed to make a crochet hook set with six interchangeable tips that fit a handle made from the turning blank material of your choice, constructed much like a turned pen.
The set includes hardware to make the handle, as well as C/2, D/3, E/4, F/5, G/6 and H/8 hook sizes. Each simply press-fits into the brass tube within the handle you turn; an included retaining spring holds the hook firmly but permits easy hook changes whenever needed. You can also turn the hook around to conceal the tip within the handle to carry it safely in a pocket.
The set comes with a 7 1/4" × 4 3/4" presentation box with a magnetic closure as well as fitted slots to hold the handle and six tips, with slots for two extra tips. Hooks have a satin finish.
Requires a standard "A" mandrel, a bushing set, an 8mm drill bit, and a minimum 5/8" × 3 1/2" turning blank, all sold separately. Because mishaps can occur during turning or assembly, we also offer brass replacement tubes.
