Vivid and intense water based colours, designed for painting on silk. Fluid, they fuse on silk. Available in 29 colours.
Setasilk is used as a traditional colour and on all types of silk : twill, pongee, crêpe de chine, georgette, damask... Very easy to use and fixed simply by ironing, Setasilk colours can be used for all silk painting techniques : outlining, salt dusting, watercolour on dry or damp silk, crackling wax or drawing wax batik, mahaju... They keep the silk's flexibility and offer a rich, refined and very bright palette.
Colour mixability: Can be mixed together
Drying: Air dry within a few minutes
Surfaces: For all types of silk
Thinner: Setasilk Thinner
Opacity: Transparent
Finish: Glossy
Fixing: 3 to 4 minutes on the reverse side of the fabric with a hot iron.
Care (for decorated fabrics): 48 hours after fixing, colours resist handwashing and dry cleaning.
Brushes: Soft and thin watercolour brushes or sponge brushes for backgrounds and washes.
Brush cleaning: Soapy water.
