- 1. Place the small loop of the lanyard around the breastpump. Then put the lanyard around your neck to prevent spills during use. Adjust the length as needed. Center the opening of the breastpump around your nipple. Squeeze the breastpump to remove air and create suction. If needed, adjust the position for comfort or for better suction. Keep in mind that letdown might take up to 90 seconds to begin. TIP: To get even more suction from your pump, fold back the flange to expose the neck of the pump. Center the opening over your nipple and squeeze the pump to generate suction. When the pump reaches the maximum indicator level, gently squeeze the mouth of the breastpump to release the seal. Hold the base to prevent spilling. Place the pump on the table and press down slightly to activate the suction base. This will secure it firmly and prevent falls. To move it, gently lift the release tab on the suction base while holding the pump. Pour the collected breast milk into storage or keep it in the pump for temporary storage. Place the lid over the mouth of your breastpump to prevent contamination. Make sure the lid is firmly inserted to prevent milk from leaking. NOTE: Lid should only be used for temporary storage in room temperature or in refrigerator.
