Ylang ylang oil is extracted from a Malaysian tropical flower and is valued by aromatherapists and perfumers for its sensual, slightly spicy floral scent. In the Philippines, ylang ylang means ‘flower of flowers’. Its aroma is soothing, comforting and romantic. It blends with sandalwood, jasmine, citrus oils, clove, patchouli and rose oils. The oil is steam distilled from the plant’s flowering tops. Physical characteristics: Specific gravity 0.950–0.985; refractive index 1.498–1.509. Purity tested / quality assured.
