- HOT THERAPY DIRECTIONS (1200-WATT MICROWAVE): 1. Ensure microwave is free from oils, food and dirt particles and ensure compress is at room temperature.2. Distribute gel evenly in compress and fold front arms under compress. Place in microwave. 3. Heat at full power for 45 seconds. Flip and heat for an additional 45 seconds.4. Knead contents to distribute heat. If needed, secure with strap. Test temperature for comfort level before applying (temperature will continue to rise slightly). If compress is too hot, let cool until temperature is acceptable.5. If not hot enough, return to microwave and heat in 15-second increments.6. Do not exceed total heating time of 120 seconds. Excessive heating may cause wrap to rupture and leak.DO NOT apply heat therapy for more than 20 minutes. COLD THERAPY DIRECTIONS: 1. Place compress in freezer for at least 2 hours.2. Knead contents and apply to affected area. If needed, secure in place with strap. 3. Monitor skin during application to avoid frostbite. If compress feels too cold, wrap in towel and re-apply.DO NOT apply cold therapy for more than 20 minutes.
