Hock Left-Hand Bevel Violin Knife Blades

We offer three sizes of knife blades suggested by the late master violin maker Hans Weisshaar.

Useful for scribing, carving and whittling, these knives are bevelled on the left side and are unhandled. The 3/4" wide knife is 3/32" thick, has a 25° tip and is bevelled at 25°. The 1/2" knife is 1/16" thick, has a 25° tip and is bevelled at 20°. The 1/4" knife is 1/16" thick, has a 10° tip and is bevelled at 35°. All are 7" long.

High-carbon steel (O1), hardened to Rc62.
