Arabic gum medium acts as a binder, allowing you to produce your own watercolour and gouache colours. Water-dilutable, it dries into a wipe-resistant film, while remaining water-soluble. It improves adhesion of undercoats and increases gloss, transparency and intensity of colours when added to Schmincke watercolours and gouaches.Tips: Start off with the same amount of binder and pigment, then add binder or pigment until the required consistency. Add binder to colours on a separate palette. Clean tools thoroughly with water and soap immediately after use.
