The AWFS (Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers) holds a biannual “Fresh Wood” student competition, highlighting the creations of young woodworkers from high school and post-secondary programs.
This book features 120 of the best entries and winners from 2017 to 2021 under the categories Case Goods, Design for Production, Open, Seating, Special Theme, and Tables, plus one section of Top Award winners. Detailed color photos display each piece, with accompanying interviews with the creators discussing the techniques they used and challenges they faced.
The book offers not only inspiration for woodworkers but also insight into the direction young craftspeople are taking in the design and woodworking industry.
