Fan-Back Armchair Plan

This 36" × 48" plan is complemented with a detailed and well-written instruction book that contains a bill of materials, a cutting list, jig and fixture plans (where necessary), alternative construction notes and suggested finishing techniques.

A large, comfortable chair with good proportions, this design has its origins in the coastal area of Massachusetts. The crest is steam bent using a form. The back spindles are turned and are tenoned into the arms, giving the chair great strength. When complete, the chair measures 44" high by 24" wide and 17" deep.
