The cost of a cribbage board is all in labor, the wood is negligible. Our cribbage board template makes it possible to cut the time appreciably.
It completely eliminates layout time; you are left only with drilling and finishing time. The 14" × 3 3/4" layout is designed to make a cribbage board for use by 2, 3 or 4 players; you add border trim to this.
The best way to use the template is to center it on your stock, put thumb tacks in four hole positions, one near each corner and then mark all the other hole centers with an awl. Then when you drill, the awl mark will automatically center the tip of your brad-point drill for a very professional-looking job.
