- TO STRAIGHTEN HAIR Hair should be clean and completely dry before using the multi-styler. For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair. 1. Set the appliance to straight mode. 2. Start with a hair section that is ½ inch wide and no more than ½ inch thick. 3. Open the iron and place the hair section between the two hot plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair between the plates by firmly squeezing the handles together. 4. While maintaining the tension, slowly pull the unit down along the hair section toward the ends. 5. At the ends, release the pressure on the handle and allow the hair to slide out. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire. It may be necessary to repeat process on certain areas, depending on the texture of your hair. TO CURL HAIR Ensure hair is dry and combed through. 1. Set the appliance to curl mode. 2. Lock plates closed. 3. Take a ½-inch wide section of hair, starting 2 inches from the scalp. Ensure the end of the appliance is pointing down toward the shoulder. 4. Wind the section of hair around the barrel toward the cool tip. 5. Hold the ends of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5 to 8 seconds, depending on hair type, and then release. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. 6. To set the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire.
