- For best results, use a minimum of 3 days after your last application of self-tanning. Apply evenly onto clean, dry skin in a circular motion. Wait for 5 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water using a cloth to remove the self-tan build-up. Follow with your new self-tanner application or apply moisturizer.
