Tomato Greenhouse

This red plastic sleeve acts much like a greenhouse, helping tomato plants grow faster and increasing their yield. Slipped over staked or caged plants, it also helps protect against light frost and hard rainfall.

The sleeve is perforated for ventilation, and should be opened up when plants are flowering to allow pollination. It fits over pots up to 24" in diameter, and at 20' long, it can be cut to length for use with multiple plants. Research by a number of universities has shown that certain wavelengths of light within the red portion of the spectrum trigger photosynthesis to stimulate rapid growth and development.

The reusable UV-stabilized polyethylene is also suitable for peppers.
