While locks made entirely of wood may not sound all that practical, they are beautiful, intricate and sure to impress anyone who receives one as a gift. In this book, the author compiles nine of the most popular wooden lock projects from his first two books, each with step-by-step instructions, color photos, dimensioned drawings and tips on materials, finishes and tools. All are fully functional and can be made with basic woodworking tools.

Plans include a warded lock, a combination lock, a railroad switch lock, a Chinese lock and a screw key lock, as well as antique lever and push key locks. It also includes a photo gallery of lock designs that can be made by adapting techniques shown in the book.
