5/16" Template Bit & 3/8" Bearing

When working with veneer or laminate, it is often advantageous to leave a small amount of overhang material on your project for final trimming by hand to reduce the risk of chipping. In solid wood, cutting the work slightly oversize to the template permits you to make a finishing pass with a standard flush-cutting bit to help remove tearout in reversing grain. This template bit, consisting of a 5/16" straight bit with an oversize 3/8" bearing, is designed specifically for these tasks.

Made to the same standards as our other router bits, it has CNC-ground tungsten carbide inserts and a non-stick coating on the body for easy resin removal. 1/4" shank. Great value.
