Ardene - Retail In Action

The world is changing and so is Ardene.

Ardene has been doing good since the early 1980’s, but they’ve made leaps and bounds on their sustainability journey since then. On top of their ongoing commitment to change in-stores and at their office, they work with partners to help them achieve their goals and keep them on track.

Waste Reduction

Ardene introduced recycling programs, a hanger re-use program, print reduction for signage and smarter packaging. They’ve also eliminated single-use plastic at head office and individual polybags for apparel shipments. Every little bit counts!

Smart Planning

Ardene’s team is working hard to reduce transport logistics, and they've continued with their zero-incineration policy (since day one!), meaning their overstock is either sold at liquidation or donated.

Carbon Offsets and Reduction

Ardene offsets the carbon emissions for every online order by investing in Gold Standard certified projects, so their e-commerce shipping is carbon neutral. (And they have electric car chargers in their parking lot at head office!)

Garden and Bees

Ardene’s head office community garden produces fresh veggies & herbs for their cafeteria. Plus, they have birdhouses and beehives with over 10,000 bees! Each season, they harvest their own natural, organic honey for their team members.

Recycled Packaging

Ardene introduced recycled and recyclable plastic bags and packaging to most of their products. They have 100% recyclable hangers for all their lingerie and swim products, and their famous surprise bags are made from 100% recycled plastic too!

FSC Certified Hangtags

Ardene now uses FSC-certified paper for all their hangtags. FSC is a non-profit that sets high standards for responsible forestry practices. It's the gold standard for harvesting wood.
